The Kirillawala Vernacular School commenced its journey with seven students on the 6th of the month of May in the year 1964 AD. The school was initiated on a piece of land owned by Mr. DR Jayasuriya at Kokis Kade junction in Kirillawala, situated in Siane Korale within the Gampaha district.
In its early stages, community support for the school's development was evident. Land contributions came from various individuals, including Kirillawala Weerasinghe Arachchi Ralahami, Mr. Pabilis Perera, Mr. Rupasingha, Mr. Don Karolis Jayakodi, Mr. Neil Varagoda, Jaya Kodiya Arachchi's Mar Noliya Appuhami, and Mr. Koraneliye. The school's physical location appears to have changed over time, thanks to these generous contributions.
